We've Been ReColonized

It turns out that the previous occupant of our new home was a morbidly obese shut-in cat hoarder. We have heard that there were as many as 40 cats living here and that the caregiver/roommate was taken to court and made to have them spayed and neutered. A "hazmat" team had to clean up the place.

After T.T.'s arrival cats started showing up in the back where I feed him. There are 10 now with a couple of interlopers. They were all so skinny and scared and I just couldn't not feed them. They are happy and well fed now and the difference in their behavior is amazing, they are one big happy family. I have never seen so many cats getting along. Even my 4 who are stuck together in the house for the next week couldn't pull that off.

One neighbor wants me to call the county and have them "taken away".  Our dogs will be here soon and will scare most of them away but I plan on continuing to feed those who stay. Those of you who know me or read this blog know that this sucks for me, big time! Animals in need always find me but to actually buy the house of a former cat hoarder is just ridiculous.
