A few days ago I decided to call it quits on this blog. It wasn't making any sense to pay the 2+ bucks a month when my readers weren't connecting with me. "My readers" seemed to be coming from Reuben's Rancho Rubidoux blog list or someone googling Snail Sex or Nita and Zita. Reuben told me several years ago that I would find my "audience". Although I have a handful of followers and people stopping by from around the world I just wasn't getting any feedback (aka comments).
I have had a very hard 5 years filled with loss and grief and frustration and fear and depression but have tried very hard not to let those cats out of the bag. I tried to find the beauty around me and post those moments in between the above bouts of paralysis.
As I was about to say my farewells to ya'll I saw that someone had left me a message, how ironic!
A gal named Heather had left it and asked that I contact her via e-mail. She hoped that I would share her story of living through the "death-sentence" of Mesothelioma. After watching the video on her beautiful website I was struck by many things. Here was this incredible woman who contracted this disease that I had only heard of much older men getting, that she had the spirit and care to get through it, and that if someone looking at my blog might get something from hearing about Heather's journey then just one "follower" is enough! It also ended my pity party right quick.
Thank you for taking the time to check out her website and watching the video!
Sincerely,
Ginny
