The new toilet went in this weekend. Of course, nothing is as it should be with such pprojects. There are always unforeseen troubles. This one involved many years of leaking which resulted in rotted joists among other issues that required multiple trips to Home Depot.

Get "new" bathtub (wish I had $4000 to buy the solid travertine one on Craigslist)

Venitian plaster
Tile
Find cool old light fixtures
Hang cool old light fixtures
Address other unforeseen issues
I think we're on a roll now, shouldn't take more than another 2 years!

Wow, Ginny, I have to say your pictures (and story) put a fear through me ... our main bathroom needs to be thoroughly worked over too! It's nice to see you have a sense of humor about it all, though ...
ReplyDeleteDon't be frightened, Reubin! It is us. We are like butterflies from one flower to the next in the way we work on projects. Plus, we keep disagreeing on "the look". I tend to go for a darker, mysterious feel where as he wants light and airy. But, I think we have finally reached a compromise!
